New Dance: Eye in the Sky

Jennifer Choo Sue Chin | April 25, 2017

I was in Singapore last weekend at Angel Chia’s 6th Anniversary Dinner and Dance. I taught a 32c2w int/adv nightclub EYE IN THE SKY and response was really great. The music, a remake from the original Alan Parson’s Project, sung by Achinoam Nini (Noa) is very mesmerizing. I fell in love with the music the moment I heard it. Hope you enjoy it too!

And presenting our second choreography together: REMEMBER MY NAME choreographed to Irene Cara’s popular song FAME! The music is catchy and we tried to fit in the lyrics with our steps. It’s a 2 wall phrased intermediate line dance, 32 counts for Part A and 32 counts for Part B. It’s rated intermediate because it is phrased, it has a simple 16 count tag and a full pirouette turn with easier options given. Other than that, the steps are simple. I taught the dance to a mixed group at Tracy’s Homecoming-themed line dance party last weekend in about 10 minutes. Response was great, so do try it out.

And on why we chose this piece of music, well, besides the catchy tune, we like the context of the lyrics which suits the Homecoming-themed party. So, do Remember My Name! Fame!

Have fun with it!

New Dance: G.I.G

Jennifer Choo Sue Chin | January 22, 2016

To start off the new year, my friends (Jasmine Leong, Ivy Low and Wendee Chen) and I have released a dance called G.I.G, named after the song by Elite (album: Catwalk). We’re not sure what G.I.G stands for but we’d like to think it as Gorgeous Intelligent Girls 😀

It’s a 64 count 2 wall intermediate dance with some easy options. No Tags No restarts, just dance it with attitude and lots of FUN! The song is very catchy too!

I’ve tried out different video techniques for our demo and I hope you’ll enjoy it. There are also some surprise inserts throughout the video of us dancing solo. 😉
More about the dance, we actually choreographed this many many months ago but I had so many dances to release in 2015 so we put this on hold. We’ve also decided to add it into our coming LDFKL event’s playlist, so do learn it up and let’s dance it together! 🙂

New Dance: BECAUSE I LOVE YOU

Jennifer Choo Sue Chin | November 26, 2015

In conjunction with Tracy Hoo’s Lovey Dovey themed party last Sunday (22 Nov 2015), we have collaborated on a dance to the theme for the event.
The dance is called BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, choreographed to the song of the same name by Shakin’ Stevens, one of our favourite romantic songs from the 80s.

Stepsheet: http://www.copperknob.co.uk/stepsheets/because-i-love-you-ID108085.aspx

The dance is of Rumba/Slow Cha genre, rated high beginner/improver, 32 counts, 4 walls and 3 very obvious restarts. This dance is special as it’s Tracy’s first published choreography. The response has been great so far! Do try it out!
