A fun little cute beginner dance to an upbeat and sassy 50’s oldie, the song sent to Jennifer by Elsie Hong. Entrusting Jennifer with her favourite song (that comes with a tale), she’s very pleased with the choreography. The dance generated instant interest around the world as it’s easy, fun, and fits the song perfectly. A must try if you haven’t, for a beginner dance can be danced by ALL LEVELS of LINE DANCERS, as long as FUN is a factor.

Jennifer’s second waltz attempt and a very successful one. The dance was released at Angel Chia’s event on 4th January 2014 with thunderous response. Although rated high intermediate and waltz (many dancers dislike waltz!) the dance was quickly picked up around the world and appearing on event playlists. The dance was even selected as UK-DC’s competition dance under the Division3 category enroute to the Worlds event. This dance was dubbed as one of Jennifer’s best choreography.

- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 32 count 4 wall High beginner line dance (country/rumba/slow cha)
- Music: Room at the Top of the Stairs (Eddie Rabbit)
Requested by Evonne Ng, the simple dance to lovely music was picked up by almost every line dancer in and out of town. Very elated to see videos of it appearing from all over the world – Taiwan, Canada, USA and many more who don’t put up videos. Also very excited to see FULL dance floors dancing to the Roo-oo-oom At the Top of the Stairs.
Gentle Kiss
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo & Eddie Tag
- 64 count, 2 wall, intermediate line dance (samba/funky flavour)
- Music: Suavemente – Nayer (ft Pitbull & Mohombi)
Dubbed our 2nd baby (this time a girl! LOL) after Aces Go Places, Eddie and I decided to collaborate again to this piece of great music. The dance was conceived via long distance as Eddie lives 400km away. Thanks to the modern communications technology! The music is quite fast but once you’ve mastered the simple steps, you’ve nailed it.
What Makes You Beautiful
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 32 count, 4 wall, intermediate line dance
- Music: What Makes You Beautiful – One Direction
Heard the song since beginning of the year and sat on it until I couldn’t bear it any longer, as the song was played everywhere. Decided to write a dance to it and put in the signature ‘hair flip’ to fit the lyrics. The steps are easy but the dance is rated intermediate due to its numerous restarts and 1 tag. Be not perturbed as the steps fit the music and melody. Have fun!
Baby, I’m So Sorry
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin & Ivy Low Geok Leng
- 64 count, 2 wall intermediate line dance
- Music: Wu Xin Shang Hai – Alex To
This is another choreography to one of my favourite Chinese song. It’s a slow cha and co-choreographed with Ivy Low, a good friend of mine. Title of the song meant Hurting You Unintentionally, thus part of the apologetic lyrics, which I had taken as the title “Baby, I’m So Sorry“.
Qing Fei De Yi
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 68 count, 4 wall high beginner line dance
- Music: ???? – ??? (Qing Fei De Yi – Harlem Yu)
After a long series of int and adv dances, I yearn to choreograph a simple stress free dance. I have been loving this song since watching the Meteor Garden drama serials many many years ago and thought the song to be a perfect choice. Lovely and joyful tune, simple and feel good rhythm, the dance is made simple so everyone can enjoy the simplicity of the music. It’s great to sing along too. The title meant, Can’t help Falling in Love with You. 🙂 Enjoy!
Almost Here
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo & Jasmine Leong
- 2 wall phrased Int Nightclub line dance
- Music: Almost Here – Brian McFadden ft Delta Goodrem
Co-choreographed with one of my students – Jasmine – who has amazing musical talents. She is trying out her fingers and toes at choreography and I think she did great 🙂 Try out the dance and find out. Although phrased, the dance is not difficult as the phrasing is quite easy to remember. The dance is choreographed to its melody so it’s pretty easy to follow!
Feel Good Cha

- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 48 count 4 wall Int Latin Cha Cha line dance
- Music: I Feel Good – Mirko Casadei
Specially choreographed for my Viva Latino event in March 2012 – Feel Good Cha makes you feel good dancing to the awesome music remade with Latin Cha Cha beats. Hit the beats in the song and groove to the Latin rhythm. Move those hips! The song simply would ring in your ears non-stop, it’s that addictive! I feel good, tereng tereng tereng teng!
Mirror of My Dreams

- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 36 count 4 wall Int/Adv NC line dance
- Music: Elvis Costello – She
One of my favourite love songs from the soundtrack of Nottinghill starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant! Have always wanted to choreograph to this song and dance to its lovely tunes, finally did so and specially dedicated to a good friend, Ivy Low, on the occasion of her “I We Dance Celebration’ Event on 30 Oct 2011. Int or Adv options available or mix and match them according to the music!
Hey Ladies

- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 32 count 4 wall High Intermediate line dance
- Music: Blu Cantrell – Hit ‘Em Up Style
I heard the song on radio one day. I had no idea the title and singer of the song so quickly recorded the music on my phone (thank God for smart phones!). Shazm the song and finally got it, Blu Cantrell – Hit Em Up Style! What a great piece of music, beats and vocals! Love it! And choreographed it. Feel the beats! I’ve choreographed parts of the song to hit certain beats and lyrics. Try it out and have fun!
Put Your Hands on His Cash: Place your palms on your back hip as you step back.
Hit em up STYLE: Flick with style!
Aces Go Places

- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo & Eddie Tang
- 32 count 4 wall beg/int line dance
- Music: Sam Hui – Chooi Kai Pak Thong
A joint choreography with Eddie Tang (of Penang), the song “Chooi Khai Pak Thong” was a popular Cantonese Song from the 80’s that was used as the theme song for the movie Aces Go Places, starring the singer, Sam Hui, himself. I’m sure many of us would remember the comedic series of movies and the happy-go-lucky song singing about the best partnership between Sam and Karl Maka (the bald guy).
The song has a jivey feel, so feel free to jive and swing those hips and lift those knees! There are also room for variations! Interpret the music and lyrics and let your imagination run wild!
Victory
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 2 wall low intermediate phrased line dance
- Music: Victory by Bond (Mike Batt Mix)
Choreographed to a lovely and inspiring piece of instrumental music by the string quartet Bond. Simple and repetitive steps are choreographed to keep the dance stress-free as the music/dance is phrased. So don’t get put off by the total number of counts. The phrasing in music is pretty distinctive. Enjoy!
Zoobi Doobi
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 64 count 4 wall low intermediate fun line dance
- Music: Zoobi Doobi by Sonu Nigam & Shreya Ghoshal (Soundtrack from 3 Idiots)
I watched the movie (Hindi Movie) and it’s good. Fell in love with all the great songs but chose this one to choreograph! Cute music and dance, so check out the MTV too. Get some stylings ideas from it 🙂 Have lots of fun!
Cuban Yeah
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 64 count 4 wall intermediate Latin Cha Cha line dance
- Music: Yeah (Como Goza Mi Morena) by Chino Espinoza Y Los Dueños Del Son
A remake of Usher’s Yeah in awesome Latin Cha Cha beats. If you love Yeah and Latin Cha Cha, this dance is for you! Check out the sexy tag – the best part of the dance. 😉 Move those hips!
Note: Will be teaching this dance at WOW Shanghai 2010!!
Let Me Dance
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 32 count 4 wall intermediate funky line dance
- Music: Let Me Dance by Lexy feat Teddy (CD: Lexury)
An upbeat Korean song which I’ve been sitting on for 2 years + now. Finally decided to choreograph a funky dance to it. Dance it with lots of attitude. Enjoy it!
Note: Will be teaching this dance at WOW Shanghai 2010!!
Looky Looky!
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 32 count beginner fun line dance
- Music: Dui Mian De Nu Hai Kan Guo Lai by Ah Niu
A cute silly song by Malaysian talent Ah Niu about the plight of a not-so-good looking village guy yearning for the attention of the pretty girl staying across his house. A sing along song for many Malaysians, Taiwanese and Singaporeans. As the song is pretty simple, I’ve choreographed equally simple steps to fit the music too. The more experienced dancers can of course add to the flavour of this dance by dancing to the lyrics… act those actions out and sing along when you dance this! I hope it would be a fun little stress-free dance for everyone.
You’ll just need 2-3 minutes to pick up the steps It’s really that simple! Have fun and don’t forget to sing along!
At This Moment
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 48 count 2 wall Intermediate Waltz line dance
- Music: At This Moment by Michael Buble
At This Moment is a song from Michael Bublé’s new CD: Crazy Love. It is an extremely sad “breaking up” song and has a waltz tempo. The first (and every) time I listened to it, I cried! So don’t be surprise to see my eyes red when I dance to it!
The dance is a 2 wall 48 count intermediate waltz dance. The music is so awesome that dancers could explore it’s musicality. Feel the music and lyrics and dance your heart and soul out! By the way, it’s my first attempt in choreographing waltzes!
Dance of LOVE

- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- 64 count 2 wall Beginner/Intermediate Rumba line dance (Contra)
- Music: L-O-V-E by Olivia Ong
As a rumba is also termed the “Dance of Love“, I have so aptly named the dance with the same name. The dance is a 2 wall dance rated beginner/intermediate with (great news!) NO TAGS and NO RESTARTS and (more great news!) can be done in the CONTRA style! In fact, I choreographed the dance with “Contra” in mind as it is so called “Dance of Love” and as a Malay saying goes, “It takes 2 palms to clap” or as I’ll put it, “It takes 2 to Rumba!”
Pretty Women
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo Sue Chin
- Intermediate Phrased line dance
- Music: Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison
A perfectly phrased dance choreographed to the popular Pretty Woman song by Roy Orbison. The steps are fairly simple to make up for the complicated song/phrasing. Have fun being a “pretty woman” and “catwalk the runways”! Guys, there are male models too…
Note that Women in the name of the dance is in the plural form as opposed to the singular Woman in the name of the song. Reason: The dance is dedicated to all the women in the line dance world, we’re all pretty, in our own special way!
Ice Breaking (In the Heat of the Night)
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo & Wendee Chen
- 2 wall int/adv Phrased line dance
- Music: Cheong Peng San Phek Hoi by Anita Mui (Mui Yim Fong) or In The Heat of The Night by Sandra
A very popular song by Anita Mui back in the 80’s, Wendee and I decided to choreograph a dance to it with Anita’s flavour. Check out the “headache step”! Arm movements are optional. Don’t be awed by its phrasing as the phrasing fits the music like a glove. Can opt to trim the music shorter if you find it too long. Have fun in dancing it!
Love, Love Me DoNEW!
- 52 count 4 wall adv-beg line dance
- Music: Love Me Do by The Beatles
I was driving home from office last evening and heard this wonderful song. The steps just played in my mind as I listened to the song and I quickly penned down the steps when I reached home. The “hitch” in the Tag and “stomp” in the Special Jazz Box is the anticipation of the dance, try to catch those “beats”! 😉
Birthday Samba
- 32 count 4 wall hi-beg line dance
- Music: Happy Birthday by DJ Bobo (CD: Magic)
This dance is specially choreographed for Mr Daniel AH Leong (KL) in conjunction with his 60th birthday celebrations. It is purposed-ly made simple so that it’ll be easy to pick up and stress free to dance during birthday parties. Anyway, the steps can be danced to any samba music on non-birthday days, haha. So feel free to substitue the song 🙂
Cha Cha Conchita
- 32 count 4 wall beg/int line dance
- Music: Conchita (Cha-cha version) by Lou Bega ft Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion (CD: Conchita – single)
This is my first Latin Cha Cha attempt to a wonderful and catchy Lou Bega music – Conchita. Enjoy it and have fun, especially with the ‘wiggles’! 😀
Perfect Christmas
- 32 count 4 wall beg/int line dance
- Music: Perfect Christmas by S Club 7
I was in a mall and heard a nice Christmas song. I quickly note some of the lyrics and went home to google it. And here goes, it’s the song “Perfect Christmas” sung by S Club 7. I found a few minutes to spare after work, put on the music on my ipod and choreographed a simple dance to this song. Simple one, so that all levels of line dancers will be able to enjoy this dance. It’s my Christmas gift to all of you line dancers!
JB Summertime
- Choreographed by Jennifer Choo, Janice Khoo, Desmond Ng & Cindy Lee
- 32 count, 4 wall intermediate line dance
- Music: Summertime by New Kids On The Block
NKOTB was our teenage idols! When the group got back together, the 4 of us thought what a great idea it was to choreograph to their current hit song, Summertime. This dance was choreographed in Johor Bahru, specially for the Lim Sisters, in conjunction with their Dance 4 Peace, Health and Joy 2008 event. Thus the name, JB Summertime
Innuendo
- 32 count 2 wall NC2S int/adv line dance
- Music: Belaian Jiwa by Innuendo
Popular Malay ballad of Belaian Jiwa, well-loved by the multi-racial Malaysians. It’s a nightclub 2 step with only 32 steps but would seem like a hundred steps due to the “&” counts. The signature movement to this dance is the “butterfly wings” and “sleeping butterfly” which has easier options for beginner/intermediate dancers.
Johnny’s Girl

- 64 count 4 wall intermediate line dance
- Music: Judy, Judy, Judy by Johnny Tillotson
This dance is requested by CK Lim to her one of her favourite oldies but there was no dance to it. I told a few of my dancemates about this song and everyone said, oh, that “Judy, Judy, Judy, I love you”, we love that music! Never did I realise the song is so popular although I’ve heard it every now and then. So here’s the dance for you. Enjoy the dance esp the Prissy walks, Twists and Finger snaps!
No More, No More
(Radio Edit)
(Acoustic)
- 64 count 4 wall beginner/improver line dance
- Music: I’m Yours by Jason Mraz
This is a beginner/improver dance to a song I often heard while driving, and I got the inspiration at the wheel. The song is fun and lively so dancers can add their own movements and styling to make the dance more interesting. I especially like to twist my wrists when Jason sang “no more, no more”…
Arabian Eyes
- 2 wall phrased Belly Fusion line dance
- Music: Ojos Asi by Shakira
This dance is specially choreographed for Sharon’s Arabian Nights line dance party held on 27 April 2008. The dance is sensual and exotic as it incorporate belly dance moves. You don’t need to learn belly dancing, or dance it belly style to do this dance. That’s the fun in line dancing! An absolute crowd teaser!
Hare Ram

- 2 wall phrased Bollywood style line dance
- Music: Bhool Bhulaiyaa by Neeraj Shridhar (Title song from the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa)
This dance spreads like wildfire across the globe since its first debut on youtube. The music is so catchy, you can hear ppl singing the chorus during the dance. I’ve been told the song keeps ringing in your ears even after you’ve turned off the music. Which is so true, this song was a great hit in India, where it originates from. Everyone would just do the Hare Ram hand movements when they hear the chorus 🙂
Steps-Titute
- 32 count, 4 wall – ultra beginner line dance
- Music: Superstar by Jamelia / Where is the Love? by The Black Eyed Peas / any other distinctive 32 count songs.
This super-easy dance is choreographed to cater for my students who are 1st timers in line dancing. Non-beginners can substitute several steps with different styling at different walls to make the dance more interesting, thus the name, ‘Steps-titute’. For ultra beginners, use the slower music by The Black Eyed Peas.
The Right Stuff
- Phrased, intermediate funky line dance
- Music: You Got It (The Right Stuff) by New Kids On the Block
Nice piece of 80’s music, though it’s phrased, don’t worry as you can just follow the music!
I Love U, Baby!
- 64 count, 2 wall – intermediate line dance
- Music: Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli
A loved by all music… Nice dance with optional hand movements. Great dance to do at nightclubs and discos! Can’t wait to do so! 😛
Fairy Tale
- 32 count, 4 wall – beginner/intermediate nightclub 2 step line dance
- Music: Tong Hua by Michael Wong Guang Liang
Jennifer’s very first choreography – which initiated her choreography addiction! She wanted to dance to this beautiful song but no dances were choreographed to it so well, she DO IT HERSELF.

Hi Jennifer,
My dancing kakis and i love your latest “Cha Cha Concita”. Unfortunately,
we can’t wiggle as well as you do.
I hope you can help us with some info of where are line dancing jams normally held. Are there any jams in the shopping centres like in Singapore? Where do you hold your classes or jams?
My group is heading for Genting Highlands end of April and is wondering where we can line dance should we be able to get down to Kuala Lumpur.
Thank you
Best Regards
Hi Selina,
Thanks for dancing CCC. Don’t worry abt the wiggling as most important is to hv fun doing it. But if u want to try to do it better, there’s a post in my blog on “Tips to Wiggle”. Hope that will help!
There are a few dance parties in April and May, so depending on the days that you’ll be here in KL. The parties are listed under Events. Do check them out, should u require any tickets, you can let me know. However, we seldom dance in shopping centres but mostly in multipurpose halls, restaurants etc.
