Janice’s leaving KL :-(
Jennifer Choo Sue Chin | August 31, 2008Oh yeah, u may have noticed that we’ve a new “video” venue. It’s actually at the poolside of my home. We were actually having a farewell party for Janice, who is moving to another state 400 km away…
And at the farewell party, what else better to do than dance?! We had line dance music blarring the whole night through, and we were dancing with our slippers. Janice gave us all a birthday gift in a form of a new choreography: Whoopsie. (See the earlier post) I also took the opportunity to share my new dance, No More, No More.
Boy, am I gonna miss Janice :-(. I would really miss dancing with her as we always discuss extra styling, tips etc for every dance that we learnt. We also taught each other new dances and giving each other support in our choreographies and personal life! LOL. She’s indeed my good friend. And yeah, my itemised phone bill is filled with her numbers…
I remembered the first time we met at a local gym (during dance class, where else?!) 2-3 yrs ago. We were having a steam bath after 2-3 hours of dancing, and she proudly claimed that her school was the only school in the whole of Malaysia that had dance classes in the timetable. I asked her sceptically “Which school?”, because I knew my school had dancing as part of the scheduled timetable too. And she replied, “Convent Bukit Mertajam”. That’s the start of a great friendship as we realised we were both from the same alma mater! We never knew each other as our age are 6 years apart, and when I dug out my 1983 Yearbook, we noticed that both our pictures are in that book, me in the primary school, while she was in her secondary years! LOL
The consolation of her leaving, is well, she’s moving to her hometown, which is also my hometown :-D. So when I return, we will still get to meet and hopefully dance together and catch up on the lost times! Here’s wishing Janice the very best in her new life in Penang. We’re gonna miss u so much, and I’m sure you’d be missing the whole lot of us here too.
